TV Azteca announced that it will be in charge of transmitting the bioseries El Rey, Vicente Fernández, which is produced by Caracol Televisión, Netflix, together with the singer’s family and that Jaime Camil will star.
El Rey, Vicente Fernández, told by the protagonist himself, who narrated his most intimate anecdotes, will consist of 36 episodes, in which a faithful, moving and memorable life story of the idol of ranchera music will be presented since its inception . In addition, the series has a display of emblematic locations in Mexico and the United States, which were part of the life of the idol, many of them original from the time.
Sandra Smester, general director of Content and Distribution of TV Azteca, stated: ‘At TV Azteca we want the original and that is why we have allied ourselves and are negotiating with Caracol.’
