A great moment is being experienced by the international distribution unit of the leading broadcaster in the Portuguese TV market, commanded by Luis Proenca, and with Carlota Vieira as deputy manager, who describes to Prensario the most important deals of recent months.
With the evolution and diversification towards Premium series, SIC Content Distribution (Portugal) has been increasing its international presence with more key sales. And continues to bet to LA Virtual Screenings, where is participating for the fifth time in a row.
‘We have closed agreements all over the world, especially in Eastern Europe but also in Brazil and Latin America. The market is recognizing our productions and, with our commitment to diversification, we are able to reach new players and territories”, began Vieira together with André Silva, sales executive.
Globoplay (Brazil) acquired the series The Good Girls Club and El General, in addition to the telenovela Wild Land, which were broadcast in the original language and have performed very well. On Free TV, Band broadcast Nazaré, which allowed it to maintain the audience of prime time (8:30 pm), but added a key seasoning: it improved advertising sales in that slot. Lastly, the same title is already dubbed into neutral Spanish and is expected to premiere soon.
Vieira added that Living Passion was successfully broadcast on Megavisión in El Salvador and La Tele Tuya in Venezuela. ‘We are focusing Wild Land on Latin America, because we see a lot of potential. The competition with drama from Turkey is great, but the content we produce is getting more and more popular’.
Among the new titles are The List, which closed with a Mongolian television station in its first agreement in that Asian territory. ‘Together with The Good Girls Club, they will be our spearhead products for Latin America, where we continue to work with César Díaz from K7 Media (USA)’, Vieira and André completed, who also announced that El General will also premiere on an LGBT platform in Europe.
