Sato: anime and superheroes from Asia

Led by Nelson Akira Sato, Sato Company (Brazil) attends the LA Virtual Screenings for the first time where it highlights a large catalog of action series, movies and anime of Asian origin.

‘The business has changed a lot in the last 2 years and we are always adapting to new times and formats’, Sato initiated. Heading the content catalog is Mofy, a children’s series made up of 3 26x’5 seasons produced by Masaharu Inaba and Sandro Pollini. It is a journey through feelings and emotions. In his daily experiences, Mofy encounters different moods: joy, loneliness, bravery, fear, jealousy, laziness, longing… Coming to understand these feelings is the impetus for personal growth and a positive attitude towards others.

Kamen Rider ZI-O (49x’25) is a superhero series produced by Shinichirô Shirakura, Chihiro Inoue, Ayumi Kanno and Naomi Takebe. The Kamen Rider franchise completed 50 years of success in Asia. Sato also promoted two feature films: the fan-loved anime My Hero Academia (’96) where All Might and Deku accept an invitation to visit a man-made floating city called I Island. There they meet a girl and fight a villain who takes the island hostage.

And the action-adventure film SpiritWalker (‘108) about a man who loses his memory and wakes up in a new body every 12 hours, each time forced to discover who he is all over again. 

‘We are focusing on Asian content. anime, tokusatsu, live action manga/anime movies, Korean, Chinese movies. In addition, we put special emphasis on the 4K remastered products of Bruce Lee, whose death will be 50 years in 2023. We also have the TV series (50x’50), produced by Shannon Lee and China’s public television, CCTV‘ Sato explained.

To concluded, Sato highlighted Heartland as an ‘incredible and inspiring story’. And he described: ‘It is the largest television series produced by Canada and with incredible reviews from viewers with six seasons with 45-minute episodes. It tells the story of a family on a ranch. A horse whisperer, a fight to save a dream takes on the mighty Rocky Mountains.
